Little Kickers - Program Overview

Established in 2005, the ASC Little Kickers Program is a unique opportunity to introduce your 3 1/2, 4 and 5 year old child to soccer. Children in the Little Kickers program are encouraged to develop their mental, physical, and social abilities through creative soccer games and other activities. Kids learn individual skills, teamwork, and most importantly they have fun! The Little Kickers Program is designed to prepare your child for Arkansas Soccer Club's Recreational Program.

At this level it is not about competition but the fun of the game. Its about getting kids to listen to and play well with others, follow instructions and give them the confidence to leave their parents and join the other kids on the field. Being a team member is emphasized. They do some goal scoring activities and occasionally will play 1v1 but mostly they will play fun games. They will also learn how to navigate an obstacle course which will help teach agility and coordination. These activities are designed to instill and build self confidence and independence on the field.

They will do agility skills training with and without the soccer ball. The biggest emphasis is on having a good, rewarding experience. We start them at a young age to help with skills and to help them be better soccer players when they get a bit older.

The sessions will run approximately 1 hour and are held at Burns Park Soccer Comple and D1 indoor Complex West Little Rock. When you register the ages are refered to as U4 ,U5 and U6 the "U" stands for the word "under".
